New Jersey Department of Health New Guidelines
As you may know by now, earlier this week the New Jersey Department of Health issued new guidance related to the re-opening of licensed facilities. We have anxiously awaited such guidance and are grateful to receive this information. There are no fewer than 28 pages of rather granular and prescriptive directives on a multitude of topics and issues.
The UMC ROAD FORWARD task groups have been meeting this week to digest the directives and make plans to determine how and when we can execute on each of them. In the meantime, the NJ DOH held an informational webinar for all NJ operators yesterday to allow everyone to get clarification on the directives.
The task groups addressing resident movement, visitation, dining, life engagement, sales, infection control, plant operations, salon operations as well as the new concept of family “Essential Worker” have met this week to determine how and when UMC will be prepared to address each of these issues.
We will move quickly to address each of these areas and will execute as each issue can be assimilated into the operations. We expect to start issuing communication to all of our residents and families how each will executed early next week.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this complex issue. Please know that our primary focus is always the safety of you/your loved one.
