Covenant Place brings to fruition the vision that Rev. Charles Miller (pastor emeritus) held for a large vacant plot of land next to the then First United Methodist Church of Plainfield. Covenant Place, which opened in 1999, features 57 one-bedroom apartments for low to moderate income older adults. It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Covenant Place United Methodist Church and The United Methodist Communities.
The community is close to shops, entertainment, restaurants, churches, parks, and public transportation. Residents may relax in the well kept surroundings or choose to participate in the various social activities.
