UMC’s David Glenn Honored with Mission Award by Methodist Ministries Network
UMC’s Senior Vice President for People and Culture, David Glenn, was recently honored with the distinguished Mission Award by the Methodist Ministries Network at their 2025 Annual Meeting in Memphis, Tennessee.
Since joining United Methodist Communities in 2014, Glenn has been a pillar of support and advocacy for the entire UMC family, leading numerous teammate-focused initiatives and programs. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping UMC’s workplace culture and expanding its footprint—contributing significantly to UMC’s recognition as a “Great Place to Work” for eight consecutive years.
Working closely with Pamela Garofolo, UMC’s Corporate Director of Tapestries, Glenn played a vital role in launching UMC University, a curriculum-based program designed to foster teammate education, professional development, and a stronger organizational culture.

The Mission Award also honors Glenn’s service as a dedicated EAGLE Commissioner since 2019. He has been an active member of EAGLE’s Thrive Steering Committee, focusing on Principle 6: Workforce Management, and has participated in numerous peer reviews for ministries serving seniors, children, youth, and families. As Methodist Ministries noted, Glenn is “grounded in his faith and committed to elevating nonprofit, faith-based missions across the country.”
This recognition is a testament not only to Glenn’s outstanding service within UMC, but also to the broader impact of his leadership across other faith-based ministries nationwide.
UMC President and CEO Mark Lenhard elaborated on this sentiment in his remarks following the ceremony:
The recognition that Dave Glenn has received from Methodist Ministries Network is not just an affirmation of his commitment to the mission and values of UMC, it is also a profound appreciation from our associational colleagues for his support of their own journeys of improvement through EAGLE accreditation. Dave’s steadfast pursuit of excellence on behalf of seniors, children and family services will leave an impact on ministries throughout our association for years to come. We are blessed to have Dave as part of our UMC team!”
