UMC Leadership Announcement: Travis Gleinig Appointed VP for Innovation
United Methodist Communities (UMC) is thrilled to share the news of Travis Gleinig’s appointment as Vice President for Innovation.
Travis has been an integral part of the UMC family since 2012, starting as Senior IT Support Technician and progressing through various roles, culminating in his most recent position as Corporate Director of IT & Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new role as VP for Innovation & CIO, Travis will provide strategic leadership to ensure UMC’s technology environment remains robust and secure. He will spearhead digital transformation initiatives, delivering innovative solutions to keep UMC at the forefront of technology in aging services.

Travis’s commitment to service through innovation is not confined to UMC’s IT initiatives. He served with distinction in the US Army National Guard, managing teams and ensuring operational readiness for Blackhawk UH-60 helicopters. His active participation in industry dialogues, including presenting at national senior living conferences, showcases his multifaceted expertise.
Among his recent professional accomplishments, Travis was honored as the 2022 LeadingAge NJ Innovator of the Year. His association with boards such as the Louisville-based Thrive Alliance and the LeadingAge CAST Technology Group underscore his commitment to ongoing learning and industry advancement. In all his roles, Travis embodies a blend of strategic vision, technical prowess, and a deep-seated commitment to fostering growth and innovation.
