United Methodist Communities Wins Four MarCom Awards

United Methodist Communities is the recipient of four 2017 MarCom Awards, an international creative competition recognizing outstanding marketing and communications professionals.

The Summer Events Postcard Campaign, consisting of four direct mail invitation postcards, won Platinum in the print media/print creativity category. Platinum winners are judged to be the most outstanding for their excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. Platinum winners received scores of 90-100 from judges, representing about 17 percent of all winners.

In the video, Officer Ang Testimonial, the adult child of a resident, critiques The Shores, based on both his dad’s, as well as his own experiences there, took Gold. United Methodist Communities’ website blog also garnered Gold in the digital media/social media category. Approximately 24 percent of entries were deemed Gold winners, scoring 80-89.

One entry, United Methodist Communities general brochure, received Honorable Mention in the print media/publications/nonprofit category. MarCom does not permit multiple winners in a category. The awards represent United Methodist Communities’ Marketing Department and two creative partners: Merz Branding of West Chester, PA and Image Revolver of Philadelphia, PA.

Robbie Voloshin, corporate director of marketing, declared, “I’m proud and thank our marketing team and partners for their outstanding work. We continue to creatively support our current strategic plan and mission to benefit all New Jersey seniors.”

There were over 6,000 print and digital entries from dozens of countries. Individuals or companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs entered. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.

The MarCom Awards, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital and web professionals. AMCP administers recognition programs, provides judges and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the community.

Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
