United Methodist Communities Awarded Three dotCOMM Awards
dotCOMM Awards announced winners for the 2019 international awards competition honoring excellence in web creativity and digital communication. United Methodist Communities (UMC) won two Platinum awards, the first for their YouTube Channel, and the second for the YouTube video, Rich and Marion. UMC’s website blog garnered a Gold Award.
There were over 2,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and 14 other countries in the dotCOMM Awards 2019 competition. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, digital shops, advertising agencies, PR firms, production companies, and freelancers. Entrants included designers, developers, content producers, digital artists, video professionals, account supervisors, creative directors, and corporate executives.
“We are honored to be the recipient of these three distinguished awards. Our digital initiatives, especially our videos and blog, are essential parts of our overall marketing strategy,” stated Matt Weinbaum, UMC’s digital marketing strategist.
The AMCP (Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals) (www.amcpros.com) administer and judge the dotCOMM Awards. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production, and freelance professionals. AMCP oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges, and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession.
As part of its mission, AMCP fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their unique talents to the public service and charitable organizations. dotCOMM award entrants submitting work produced pro bona are not charged entry fees. Grants and special recognition acknowledge the efforts of generous marketing and communication professionals.
AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for work that exceeds a high standard of excellence and serves as a benchmark for the industry. Winners represent submissions from 241 categories for websites, videos, social media, paid media, owned media, earned media, and digital marketing and communication programs.
