United Methodist Communities at Collingswood (UMC) and It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L) Celebrate 20 Years of Senior Living Residents Having Fun with Innovative Technology

Senior engagement technology company visited UMC as part of a three-month cross-country road trip
UMC, a leading senior living community in Collingswood, New Jersey, participated in the iN2L 60/20 tour, a cross-country road trip both celebrating 20 years of senior living residents having fun with iN2L technology and the 60th birthday of iN2L President and Co-founder Jack York. The 60/20 tour kicked off on August 5 in Louisville, Kentucky, and will include stops across the U.S. and in Toronto through November 5.
On Tuesday, September 3, at UMC, iN2L planned a special experience for its residents with the arrival of the iN2L tour bus. The day included an on-site tour, an iN2L activity in one of the health care households and a celebration with birthday cake, dance party and sing-alongs with the residents. In addition, a couple of UMC residents participated in a carpool karaoke road trip inside iN2L’s 60/20 tour van with iN2L co-founders Jack York and Leslie Sweeney.
Since 2014, UMC has used iN2L’s leading person-centered digital engagement technology
“Without the support of the communities, our idea of using technology to engage seniors would not have grown from being a novelty to being part of the highest standard of care for senior living residents,” said York. “We’re looking forward to every single one of our stops along the 60/20 tour so we can say ‘thank you’ in person. It’s going to be an amazing way to celebrate these birthday milestones.”
“We have been fortunate to be a part of the iN2L family for many years,” said James Clancy, executive director at UMC. “iN2L provides an interactive way for our residents to have fun with technology through games, music and other sensory-stimulating modalities. UMC loved participating in the company’s 20th anniversary and the founder’s 60th birthday. Hopefully, our residents will be enjoying the ‘It’s Never Too Late’ technology for many years to come.”
