Testimonials to Marketing Excellence
United Methodist Communities is the recipient of three 2018 MarCom Awards, an international creative competition recognizing outstanding marketing and communications professionals.
The inspirational video, The Abundant Life – The Body Builder, took Platinum. It portrays George Campbell, an 85+ year-old resident of United Methodist Communities at Bishop Taylor, who maintain a regular fitness routine.
Platinum winners are judged to be the most outstanding for their excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. Platinum winners received scores of 90-100 from judges, representing about 17 percent of all winners. There may be no winners or multiple winners in a category.
A commercial for HomeWorks, United Methodist Communities’ homecare division, won Gold in the Video/Audio, Television/Promotion category. Approximately 24 percent of entries were deemed Gold winners, scoring 80-89.
The awards represent United Methodist Communities’ Marketing Department and one creative partner, Image Revolver of Philadelphia, PA.
Robbie Voloshin, corporate director of marketing, declared, “I’m proud of and thank our marketing team and partners for their outstanding work. We continue to creatively support UMC’s mission and current strategic plan to benefit older adults throughout New Jersey.”
There were over 6,000 print and digital entries from dozens of countries. Individuals or companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs entered. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
The MarCom Awards, administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, digital and web professionals. AMCP administers recognition programs, provides judges and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the community.
AMCP is the industry’s preeminent third-party evaluator of creative work. The organization has judged over 200,000 entries since its formation in 1994. Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
