Come Learn the Path Caring for Caregivers When a Loved One has Dementia

Nancy M. Alterman, LCSW, Geriatric Social Worker- Ms. Alterman has over 30 years’ experience in dementia care & is a team member & coordinator for the Memory Assessment Program at the NJISA

Will benefit Social Workers & other Healthcare Professionals

Seminar will include:

  • Break down of brain function in Alzheimer’s dementia and  relationship damaging challenges for caregivers
  • Various approaches to assist families in finding resolutions                                                    
  • Explore styles of effective interventions for those struggles
  • Examine ethical conflicts with use of creative manipulation
  • Identify what caregivers need most from their healthcare providers and how to meet those needs
  • Discuss challenges for the professional and effective methods of coping with them
