Cape May in World War II

This presentation is for all of our veterans and local history buffs. A review of the Cape May area’s under publicized and underappreciated but important role in WWII. Topics include Fort Miles that guarded the vital entrance to the Delaware Bay and River, Naval Air Station Cape May’s role in anti-submarine warfare in both World Wars, Naval Air Station Wildwood’s important role in the training of dive bomber pilots, the building and purpose of the Cape May Canal and Inter-coastal Waterway, and much more. Join us in the Town Hall.
