We know many seniors and their families have questions about United Methodist Communities at Pitman. Below are some of our most frequently asked questions and answers.

Can my family and friends visit?

Of course! We urge you to stay connected with your loved ones. When they are unable to visit you can stay connected with them through our video software and app. We have a guest apartment for those who may want to stay for a period of time or they can stay in your apartment with you.

Am I free to come and go as I please?

Of course you can! This is your home.

What does a typical day look like?

Your day is yours to do with as you like. You set your own schedule and participate in community life as much or as little as you please.

Do you have a waiting list?

We have immediate occupancy on most apartment styles

Do you have to be a United Methodist to live there?

No. All faiths welcome!

Can I bring my pet?

Yes you can, as long as they weigh under 25 lbs. and you are able to take care of them.

Why do you have a different name?

We were founded in 1907 and have been in continuous operation since. In 2016 we did an organization re-branding and became United Methodist Communities.

What kind of care do you offer?

We have a full continuum of care: residential living, assisted living, respite care, memory care, skilled nursing care, and short term rehabilitation. You can also receive hospice care in our Bridges neighborhood.

Do you offer parking?

Yes we do. There is free onsite parking for residents and guests.
