Pitman Manor Dining Services Wait Staff Associate Jessy Gomez Receives the Sodexo C.A.R.E.S. Award
James Clancy, the Executive Director of Pitman Manor, announced today that wait staff associate Jessy Gomez was recently selected to receive the Sodexo C.A.R.E.S. award. According to Norm Engel, General Manager of Dietary Services at Pitman Manor who nominated Gomez, “Making the resident experience the heart of everything we do is central to Sodexo Health Care’s continued success. Our C.A.R.E.S. training program reinforces critical behaviors for our associates that are proven to improve the residential experience. Every day, through compassion, accountability, respect, enthusiasm, and service, we find new ways to improve the quality of life for everyone we serve.” Gomez has been employed at Pitman Manor for nearly three years and during that time has consistently demonstrated a willingness to learn new skills, take on additional responsibilities and help both residents and co-workers. “When she finishes her duties she always offers to assist anyone who needs it. She is always willing to pick up shifts and adjust her hours to accommodate last minute schedule changes,” added Engel. Gomez is a virtual goodwill ambassador who always takes time to sit down with residents to have meaningful conversations. “When a new resident arrives she makes them feel welcome and tells them about the menu and all the different items they can order. Jessy knows everyone’s names as well as the foods they like and dislike. She has a true passion for the residents. She is respectful, positive and always very motivated to do what is best for the residents and her team. Jessy absolutely exemplifies the CARES behaviors and is an asset to Pitman Manor,” concluded Engel.
