U.S. News’ Best Nursing Homes highlights the top nursing homes in every state and nearly 100 major metropolitan areas providing data and information on care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more. The ratings cover almost 16,000 nursing homes nationwide.
A Five Star Rating!
Overall, Bristol Glen received five stars, a compilation of ratings in three unique areas: health inspections, nurse staffing, and measures of medical quality of care. Notably, the Harris Center at earned five stars in Nurse Staffing.
Staffing includes not only registered nurses, but also, licensed practical nurses, licensed vocational nurses, certified nurse aides and assistants. An important consideration was the amount of care patients received from the nursing staff on a daily basis. Our dedicated nursing staff provides nearly 4½ hours of care a day to each resident, including about 43 minutes from registered nurses.
The Harris Center also earned five stars in Quality Measures. This is based on nine of eighteen indicators — seven for long-term and two for short-term Medicare and Medicaid residents. Considered the most valid and reliable, Quality Measures include health conditions, fall prevention measures, pain management, bedsores, and mobility.
