Home Care Heroes
HomeWorks, United Methodist Communities home care division, is caring for over 100 clients in their homes throughout New Jersey. Our home care nurses, certified home health aides and companions are frontline health care warriors. They are providing personal care, shopping, preparing meals, and doing whatever is needed to keep our clients safe in their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are in touch with our caregivers daily, checking to make sure they are well and that their families are well. Their feedback has been so positive. Overwhelmingly, they say that they understand how much their clients need them — they do not hesitate to take on new assignments during this time.
Our caregivers are primarily women who are also caring for their own families. They are fearless in their care of our clients despite the risk of close contact while giving personal care.
The HomeWorks’ office staff are working extra hard, calling clients daily for wellness checks and providing reassurance and support.
It is with great confidence I can say that our HomeWorks’ clients are safe and protected during this crisis and that our staff are truly heroes.
Christine – Home Care Nurse
Christine is a semi-retired registered nurse who has been working for HomeWorks since we opened our doors in Ocean Grove. Let me just add that she proudly says that she is over 75 years of age!
Christine will drive anywhere, at any time to visit clients in need. Her clients love her because she instills confidence and especially, hope during each visit. She is fearless! During the COVID-19 crisis, Christine has not skipped a beat.
She is a road warrior traveling from Plainfield to Jackson to Brick and back. Christine’s visits last much longer than required. She does a thorough assessment, makes sure that the home health aide and client are comfortable and feel confident in our care.
Kudos to Christine, a true home care hero!
