Neptune, NJ – We are thrilled to announce that Great Place to Work Institute and its senior care partner, Activated Insights, have honored UMC with certification as a Great Place to Work for the ninth consecutive year.
The certification process involved surveying teammates from across UMC’s communities and offices and evaluating more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.
“Being a Great Place to Work for nine straight years speaks to the everyday commitment of our teammates and leaders to one another,” said David Glenn, Senior Vice President of People and Culture at UMC. “This year’s results are especially meaningful because they show growth, not just consistency. More of our teammates are telling us they feel proud to work at UMC, that their voices matter, and that their work truly makes a difference.”
In 2026, key culture indicators continued to strengthen year over year:
83% of UMC teammates surveyed said, “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work” (up from 80% last year).
87% indicated “I feel I make a difference here” and “My Work has special meaning; This is not just a job.”
