Dementia Trained Caregivers and Teammates
HomeWorks caregivers receive additional training and education in dementia care through Tapestries™ at Home, ensuring all of our Tapestries™ at Home clients’ needs are properly met. Each memory care caregiver is carefully selected and coached in how to redirect behaviors gently, reinforce positive interactions, and manage challenging symptoms with patience and skill. Learn More About UsFrequently Asked Questions
How Does Tapestries™ Memory Care at Home Differ from Community-Based Care?
In-home memory care supports individuals in a familiar setting with one-on-one attention. It reduces the stress of transitions and offers personalized, flexible routines that match the person’s life and environment.
How Are HomeWorks Caregivers Trained in Dementia Care?
All memory care caregivers complete training through UMC’s Tapestries™ program. This includes techniques in redirection, communication, behavior management, and creating a positive, structured environment.
What Is the Process for Arranging Home Memory Care with UMC?
It begins with a free consultation. A registered nurse assesses your loved one’s needs and creates a custom care plan. We then match a caregiver and begin services, with support and check-ins from our care team.
