Some examples are wandering, aggressive reactions, paranoia, or resisting good hygiene habits. Our specialized dementia care program offers many different options to treat, minimize, and safely manage the changes that come with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Associate training includes communication methods and we encourage family members to learn them as well. Our associates keep up to date with the latest dementia education and practices and would be more than happy to share them with you and your family. Our resident-directed care model encourages individuals to eat when hungry and sleep when tired. To help support this care model, we have associates available 24/7 to assist residents when needed. For instance, if they want to eat dinner at 10pm, one of our associates will prepare it for them in the kitchen.
