From the moment Meghan Artrip steps into Bristol Glen’s Tapestries neighborhood, offering senior memory care in Sussex County, NJ, she brings a calm, attentive presence to residents who rely on her care and advocacy. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Meghan is known for her steady support during residents’ most vulnerable moments.
That dedication has earned Meghan national recognition. She was named a Care Champion Hero by SafelyYou, a leader in AI-powered fall detection and prevention technology. Each month, SafelyYou honors one caregiver who goes above and beyond to elevate safety, dignity, and quality of life for residents.
Meghan’s role spans daily care, medication administration, meals, activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
“Meghan has an incredible ability to understand our residents’ needs through subtle cues and to respond with patience and compassion,” shared Natassia Fleischer, Director of Tapestries at Bristol Glen. “Her understanding of dementia-related behaviors is unmatched, and we are truly honored to have her as part of the Tapestries team.”
Meghan joined Bristol Glen in 2019 at just 16 years old, starting on the dining team while attending a local high school. As she explored healthcare, Bristol Glen supported her growth by offering CNA training in dementia care.
Now enrolled in a pre-nursing program, Meghan discovered that memory care, dementia, and Alzheimer’s support is where she feels most connected.
“I’ve always been interested in the medical field,” she said. “But Alzheimer’s care really drew me in — understanding how the brain works and learning how to support people through that.”
For Meghan, the heart of her work is advocacy.
“Some residents can’t always communicate what they need,” she added. “In those moments, it means everything to have someone who understands them — especially when families can’t be there every day. I’m proud to be there for them.”
That empathy and attentiveness bring comfort not only to residents, but also to loved ones who trust Bristol Glen, a premier memory support community in Sussex County, with their care. Meghan’s dedication embodies the very best of memory care, and we are proud to celebrate her as a SafelyYou Care Champion Hero.
