Code of Business & Ethical Conduct

While furthering its Mission, Vision, and Values, UMC seeks to conduct business and provide care in accordance with high ethical standards and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

UMC has developed a “Code of Business & Ethical Conduct” as a standard for all teammates, trustees, officers, managers, supervisors, contractors, volunteers, students, and other associated parties. This Code of Business & Ethical Conduct encourages personal accountability, and clarifies that these parties must report suspected incidents of organizational fraud, waste, or abuse.

Reporting Compliance Concerns

The public is also encouraged to report compliance concerns and suspected incidents of organizational fraud, waste, or abuse to UMC’s Compliance Officer.

To report a compliance concern or suspected incident of fraud, waste, or abuse, please:

UMC
Compliance Officer
205 Jumping Brook Road
Neptune, NJ 07753

All reported concerns will be investigated.

Reporting False Claims

Any teammate, including vendor, who knows of or reasonably suspects an incident of fraud, waste, or abuse regarding Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal or state health care program by any UMC team member, supervisor, contractor, or agent is required immediately to report such incident to their Supervisor, Administrator, or Executive Director. Reports may also be made directly to the UMC Compliance Hotline at 1-844-986-1426.

UMC will not tolerate any intimidating or retaliatory act against an individual who in good faith reports practices reasonably believed to be a violation of these laws.
