“Let’s Hear it for the Ladies”

March is Women’s History Month and the community is invited to come celebrate with a special presentation on Monday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. Dorothy Stanaitis, a certified Philadelphia tour guide will do a lecture which she has entitled. “Let’s Hear it For the Ladies” “We’ve all heard of Betsy Ross, but what about Deborah, Lydia or Oney Judge? What part did outstanding women play in the struggle for American independence? Stananitis will bring their stories to life for residents, associates and members of the community. Dorothy was here in the past and was so well received that the residents asked us to bring her back again,” said Carrol Stella, Director of Community Life at Pitman Manor. The hour-long presentation will take place on in the Pitman Manor Auditorium. Interested adults are invited to attend the FREE presentation.
