Spring Into Wellness at Covenant Place
Wellness is more than just physical health, and starting in April we are going to explore five different areas of wellness weekly; social, emotional, environmental, physical, and intellectual.
We will focus on social wellness, through positive relationships. Emotional wellness where we will cope with the challenges life can bring, and the ability to share feelings in a productive manner. Environmental and physical wellness will be worked on together with weekly outdoor activities that will help us recognize our own responsibility to the environment as we exercise.
Finally, intellectual wellness will be explored, which is the ability to open our minds to new ideas and experiences that can be applied to personal decisions, group interaction, and community betterment. This Wellness Initiative is our opportunity to “Spring” into the season! Classes will include the five Wellness components.
The Wellness Walking Club will meet weekly during lunch hour on Wednesdays starting April 8. Classes will be held during lunch hour in the Miller Room. We will also have monthly Lunch and Learn sessions. Topics include: Healthy Eating and Living (April), Spiritual Life (May), Ask a Dietician (June), State of the Environment Photo Activity (July).
The Wellness Club is open to the community.
