Bristol Glen Executive Director Nominated for Prestigious Athena Award
Sarah Ur, executive director at Bristol Glen, has been nominated for the inaugural Athena Young Professional Leadership Award through the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce.
Ur held several positions at Bristol Glen before being named executive director in 2014. Since that time she has built a strong foundation within the community and among her 200 staff members. “Sarah has already accomplished a great deal as a leader and I am confident that she will grow and expand on her responsibilities as she continues to prove herself as a successful leader,” David Glenn, vice president of human resources with United Methodist Home of New Jersey, said.
The ATHENA award celebrates women leaders within the community and recognizes those businesses and individuals that support them. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of hosting the award, the Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce will honor an emerging leader that demonstrates the following exceptional qualities:
- serves as a role model for young women personally and professionally
- creates an organizational culture that encourages women employees to achieve their full leadership potential
- gives back to the larger community of females of all ages by providing and/or supporting leadership development opportunities and initiatives
Ur is one of three nominees being considered for the esteemed recognition. The winner will be named during the award luncheon to be held at the Battleground Country Club on November 6, 2015.
